A gum resni of a forest tiee calledGarcinia Cambogia, generally imported incylindrical rolls. It forms a beautiful yellow pig-ment, used for water-colour ; it is used to stainwood in imitation of box, and the tinctureenters into the composition of the gold-colouredvarnish for lacquering brass; it also gives abeautiful and durable stain to marble. {E.
