Kim Riley, Chief Reporter, BBC Look East - centre in photograph. Joined the programme back in 1982. With a BA from the University of London (1972), Kim started his career in the West Country. Went on a training scheme run by Beaverbrook Newspapers and was a reporter for the Falmouth Packet. After three years he went to work on the Evening Mail in Birmingham as a news reporter and feature writer. He won the Pfizer Award as Young Journalist Of The Year in 1976, and travelled to Beirut to report on the refugee situation and the work of the Save The Children Fund. Later joined BBC Radio Brighton's news team in 1978.
