It isprobable that the sport reached its zenith duringthe Mogul dominion in Hindustan, for it is re-corded that certain of the emperors kept manyhundreds of cheetahs for their amusement, whilstabout the same date we read of the existence ofhunting leopards in the establishment of some ofthe kings of France.
