BAGRAM AIRFIELD, AFGHANISTAN (Nov. 2, 2016) - The transfer of authority ceremony from the 2nd Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment to the 5th Battalion, 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment. The air defense unit provides counter rocket, artillery, and mortar protection to the airfield. 2/44 ADA will return home to Fort Campbell, Ky., 5/5 ADA recently arrived from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.
