MacMillan Bloedel #1044 Logging Railway Steam Locomotive at Chemainus Vancouver Island BC


Chunky Baldwin 2-6-2T, MacMillan Bloedel No. 1044 is preserved in a small garden area close to one of Vancouver Island's few roundabouts, at Chemainus. It stands on a track, coupled to two log cars, close to the line where it once transferred logs from the forest at Nanaimo Lakes to the E&N Railway for onward movement.
