Dambulla, Sri Lanka - 11 February 2014; Toque Macaques are intensely social monkeys; they use grooming as a powerful tool for bonding, establishing hierarchy and social discourse. It also looks like fun for all concerned! These guys were spotted at leisure by the long and exhausting (several hundred steps) path from the ground-level Dambulla Golden Temple to its Buddhist Caves.
