Death Comet, illustration. Officially known as 2015 TB145, this comet is nicknamed the 'Death Comet' due to its skull-like appearance. It is a 'dead' comet, producing no coma or tail. It was discovered in 2015 by the Panoramic Survey Telescope and Rapid Response System (Pan-STARRS-1). It passed close to Earth during Halloween 2015, coming within 50,000 kilometres.
