An Indian pata with European etchings,India/Brunswick,circa 1580 The iron hand guard elaborately forged and decorated with strong ridges,roped edges. Laterally riveted grip and movable wrist clasp. The square thrusting blade fixed to the guard and fully etched by Brunswick artists with a lansquenet scene amidst tendrils. Old inventory number. Length 57 cm.
