Commercially purchased equipment is on display during the Rapid Prototype Event Rodeo, held at SOFWERX in Tampa, Fla., Oct. 13, 2016. SOFWERX, USSOCOM’s public facing collaboration workshop, hosted the event to explore the possibilities of effectively equipping partner forces using only commercially available items or open source software. The event was open to USSOCOM government civilians, contractors and service members and was part of USSOCOM’s continued approach to solving problems with bottom-up operator-driven innovation.
