HONOLULU, Hawaii—Vietnam War Veteran George Sternischa, nephew of Navy Fireman 1st Class Michael Galajdik, USS Oklahoma (BB-37), looks through items found during recovery missions, during his tour of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) at Joint Base Pearl-Harbor Hickam, April 20, 2017. Sternischa toured DPAA’s Hawaii facility and will escort the remains of his fallen uncle to his final resting place. The remains will be buried with full military honors. DPAA’s mission is to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation.
