Gardens by the Bay, Singapore - 3 - 5 March 2019; group of tourists, sightseeing in shot. Singapore aspires to be the world's greenest city; it seems to be succeeding. Of course, climate helps - the constantly hot and wet tropical weather, although unpleasant to humans, is ideal for plants. As a result, greenery grows just about anywhere and everywhere. The astonishing 101-hectare Gardens by the Bay - seen here- is one of many enlightened environmentally-friendly developments in the city. It's packed with beautiful tropical flora and iconic supertrees. Here you see tourists walking along the elevated skyway in the Supertree Grove. Editor Note: The gardens and supertree groves are free, open to public at all times, and unticketed - see description field for more info.
