August. Summer Tyson—Tree hardy, upright grower, a little tardy in coming into bearing. We have fruited this variety for 30 years and have never lost a tree from blight; have never seen more than a slight twig blight; freest from blight fef of any pear we know. Fruit me- mI dium; yellow, rus- seted slightly; wl flesh fine grained, juicy, melting^ || sugary — good to Wilder—Medium to small; greenish-yellow with a brownish red cheek; melting, sweet and very pleasant; tree a vigorous grower and good bearer. Autumn Pears Buerre d'Anjou—A large, fine pear, buttery and melting, with sprightly flavor; tree a fine grower and very productive; one of the best. October to January. Duchess d'Angouleme—Very large, greenish- yellow, sometimes russeted; makes a beauti- ful tree and heavy bearer; buttery, melting and sweet. October and November. Flemish Beauty—Medium to large, obtuse pyri- form; pale yellow, covered with reddish brown on sunny side; flesh fine grained, juicy, rich, very good. Howell—Large, light waxen yellow with a fine red cheek, rich, sweet and melting, highly perfumed; tree vigorous, hardy and bears abundantly; one of the very best. Septem- ber and October. Kieffer—This is the most popular pear grown; fruit of fine size, rich color and good quali- ty; tree very vigorous and seldom blights; should be picked at maturity and ripened indoors. October an
