Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Chris A. McPhillips, commanding general of 1st Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW) exits an F-35B Lightning II Aircraft at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan Feb. 24, 2021. McPhillips is qualified to fly the AV-8B Harrier II Aircraft, F-5N Aircraft, and F-35B Lightning II Aircraft and conducted his final flight with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 121 before departing 1st MAW.
