At Boston, displays of bulbs, peren- nials, etc., were ignored until a week after the opening, while show pelargo- niums, begonias, gloxinias, fuchsias, streptocarpi, ferns, palms, cacti, fine foliage plants and many others obtain- able were not seen at all. A miscel- laneous tent would have proved im- mensely popular and this year, of all years, vegetables should have been allotted some space. But when all is said and done, the fact is apparent that June flower shows in America are not a success from a financial standpoint. Newport, New York and Boston have all found this out. Gardeners' and Florists' Club. The officers of the Gardeners' and Florists' Club have purchased a $500 Liberty Loan bond for their reserve fund. Many members have also pur- chased bonds.
