The John A. Roeblings Sons Company, of Trenton, N. J., hada very complete display of samples of all its wire products, includ-ing bare copper wires, rubber and other insulated wires of allkinds, office and magnet wires, electric light wires, etc. A num-. An ob-ject of particular interest to street railway men was the specialsplice of the large three-phase cable for the Metropolitan StreetRailway Company, of New York. This cable is made up of threeoooo wires, and will be used for the transmission of high tensioncurrent over the companys system. The splice is quite compact,the only visible evidence of its existence being an enlargementabout one foot long of the lead casing. Samples of Columbiaand flexible rail bonds were also shown. In one corner of the gallery was shown a device manu-factured by the Evans Automatic Illuminating Car Sign Com-pany, of Boston. This is a revolving sign designed to be placedon the front or side of a car, near the transom, and having openletters, through which
