Qunintinshill Rail Disaster, 1915

Most of the photographs in our archive were taken in the late Victorian period or early 1900s. Some are later and, where this is the case, we've given an indication of the date. Most are from glass 'magic lantern' slides and are, in today's terminology, high resolution. The location, where one is given, is taken from the printed or hand written caption that was on the slide when we purchased it and is probably accurate but might not be. Where an image is coloured, it is not a colour photograph. It was hand-coloured at the time it was made. The Keasbury-Gordon Photograph Archive.
