The vine comes quiclvly into beariug, yielding fruit usually the sec- ond year after planting; requires but little space, and when trained is an ornament to tire yard or garden. The soil for the Grape should be dry; it should be well enriched with rotten stable manure or ground bone, always beariug in mind that it is an essential point to secure a warm, sunny exposure. To secure the best results, annual and careful is essential and must not be neglected.
