The ccelom is filled with hard hyaline magma, rich in roundcells, in which is imbedded the umbilical vesicle measuring2jA mm. in diameter. The chorion is thickened and fibrousand is covered with some villi, which are also fibrous. Thevesicle shows all the characteristics of the umbilical vesicleand is attached to the chorion by a thick fibrous pedicle. Atthe point of juncture it is rich in large blood-vessels filled withblood.
