Since the County Kildare Archaeological Society caused themissingportion of the shaft to be inserted in 1893, the cross is one of the mostperfect in Ireland, the roof-like capping-stone alone being wanting. Lying in three fragments near the High Cross are portions ofanother; these fragments consist of one arm, and parts of the belonged to a ringed cross, closely resembling in sculpture, the 2E 2 /a.
