American troops look at prisoners' bodies found in a latrine in the Woebbelin concentration camp. The SS opened Wöbbelin in February 1945 to house concentration camp prisoners whom the SS had evacuated from other camps to prevent their liberation by the Allies. The camp was freed on May 2, 1945. The photo is dated 6th May 1945, four days after its liberation.
