IMPLANTABLE INSULINE POMPE

The pump, with the shape of a disc, is made of titane and measures 8 cm of diameter. A tube souple that is called catheter is linked to the pump, it is the canal by which the insulin of the pump goes through up to the intraperitoneal cavity of the abdomen. It is made of silicone sheathed in polyethylene and composed of two perpendicular parts. A part is in subcutaneous, the other in peritoneal. The catheter is fixed to the pump by a bayonet locking system.
