Dettelbach is a town in the district of Kitzingen in the Regierungsbezirk Unterfranken in Bavaria, Germany. It is situated on the right bank of the Main, 17 km east of Würzburg, and 7 km north of Kitzingen. Dettelbach was first named as the settlement in 741 and the town was founded in 1484 Dettelbach has a nearly completely remained town wall with many towers and town gates. Dettelbach's architecture is affected by cobbled alleys, picturesque rows of houses and half-timbered houses of late-Gothic and Renaissance. Dettelbach has several local vineyards and is famous for its wine. Its main tourist attraction is the annual wine festival midst of old town. The festival will be held each year from Feast of Corpus Christi to the subsequent Sunday.
