Senner was succeeded by Rev. G. , the present incumbent. During hisshort time the interior of the church has been remod-elled, the walls have been frescoed and the floorscovered with carpets and mats, giving it a handsomeappearance inside. He came to Lisbonin the year 1807, and soon afterwards was installedas pastor of the church in that place. He entered onthe work of his mission wi^h great zeal. He laboredin several parts of the county, and finall} extended hiswork to Salem. It is not known when and wherehis first preaching in the place w^as. John Campbelland his family were the foremost to give him enter-tainment and help in the place. Isaac Wilson alsomerits similar mention; likewise Nathaniel Mc-Cracken, living about three miles south east of thetown.
