Maidenhead, Berkshire, UK. 1st July, 2023. According to the Thames Water Event Duration Monitoring map, Thames Water were discharging storm overflow into the Maidenhead Waterways in Berkshire today. White foam was evident floating on the water surface at the Cut that may be treated effluent. There is currently an ever bigger spotlight upon Thames Water than usual following the possible collapse of the company and the possibility of it being taken back into public ownership on a temporary basis by the Government.
