It consists of an oc-tagonal granite pedestal, forty-five feet in height, on whichstands a statue of Faith, thirty-six feet high. This statue issaid to be the finest specimen of granite statuary in theworld. It is a most beautiful work of art. In her left handshe holds an open Bible; her right is raised and pointingheavenward.
