The River Ravensbourne, dammed and constrained in pipes under Loampit Vale, during construction of the Lewisham Gateway Project by the contractors VolkerFitzpatrick. The river is being pumped through manifolds, mounted with electric pumps and deposited on the other side of Loampit Vale. This scenario was responsible for the recent local flooding
