Ammann was read, in which he recommended that only one meeting of the district each year be held; that quarterly meetings of the ex- ecutive committee be held, and that units be formed in various localities and that these make quarterly reports to the board. After a lengthy discussion, it was decided that the recommenda- tions be referred back to the executive committee for action at its next meet- ing. St. Louis Next. St. Louis was selected as the place of the third quarterly meeting, which will take place in January. At this meeting the annual election of officers and of the executive board will take place. Chair- man Amling appointed Philiji Daut, De- catur, 111.; Henry Baer and W. J. Hem- breiker as a nominating committee. A rising vote of thanks w;is then extended to the entertainment committee, to the mayor and the management of the .Jef- ferson hotel for the pleasant time sjient. The visitors were then taken on an automoi)ile trij) to the growing estab- lishments of Henry R.'ier, Charles liov- cridge, Cole Bros, and Siebenthal & Nel- son, a trip that w;is much enjoyed. Everything was found to be in good condition for the coming season iit all the i)laces. Before train time most of those attending were entertained by James Cole at a theater party. Ludwig Stapp and his three sons mo- tored from Rock Island to attend the meeting. President Amling motored from Pana, 111., and Messrs. Hembreiker and Cole also came by motor. Those greatly missed at the meeting were .1. V. Ammann, who was detained with a case '^c«^^" Members of the P. T.
