Wylfa Nuclear Power Station looking SW from the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path on Wylfa Head Local Natural Reserve. Designed by Farmer & Dark, work started 1962, operational by 1971. Twin Magnox reactors, total capacity of 1,000,000kw, around 23 million kilowatt hours of electricity, 55 million gallons of seawater an hour used for cooling. Wylfa is now closed: Reactor 2 was shut down in 2012, Reactor 1 in 2015.
