A number of the supply houses have arranged to have a repre- sentative at the convention. Young and Growing. The Tennessee State Florists' Asso- ciation was organized at Nashville, January 29, 1915. The organization sprang out of a demand for closer co- operation among, the florists of the state and was greatly stimulated by the spirit manifested by the Knoxville Florists' Society, which wa-s organized in Decem- ber, 1913. The first meeting of the State Florists' Association was called to or- der by Prof. G. M. Bentley, who was later elected secretary-treasurer, which office he has held ever since. The late T. C. Joy, of Nashville, was chosen as the first president and served one year. He was followed by Karl P. Baum, of Knoxville; W. C. Johnson, of Memphis; Leon Geny, of Nashville, and H. G. Bramm, of the Bristol Floral Co., Bris- tol, who
