White-throated toucan (Ramphastos tucanus). This bird is found in the Amazon in South America. This 1778 watercolour is by the British artist Sarah Stone, who worked on the Leverian collection of which this artwork is a part. The Leverian collection, assembled by British collector Ashton Lever (1729-1788), was on display in London from 1775 to 1806.
