Number 10 Madryn Street, Dingle, Liverpool. The terraced house opposite number 9 Madryn Street the birthplace of Richard Starkey ( Ringo Starr ), the drummer in The Beatles. The terraced house in the 'Welsh Streets' was purchased by a Beatles fan as the word 'BEATLES' can be seen in the pointing on the brickwork below the upstairs window. Despite protests from local residents and Beatles fans worlwide, the housing in the Welsh Street area has been compulsory purchased and is due for demolition from 1st. October 2010 for clearance and redevelopment.
