The historic Blair Bridge near Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs on a frosty winter morning

This stone arch bridge, called Blair Bridge or John Blair Bridge, was built in 1880 by John Blair, groundskeeper for Glen Eyrie castle. The bridge is along the original road to the mesa reservoirs and Blair's cabin. Blair was the groundskeeper and designer of the stone structures for General William Palmer, founder of Colorado Springs. Glen Eyrie, now a hotel and conference center, lies just north and west of the bridge; Garden of the Gods is to the south and west.
