Horseshoe stairway of the Palace of Fontainebleau (Château de Fontainebleau) near Paris, France. The horseshoe stairway was originally built for King Henry II by French Renaissance architect Philibert Delorme (Philibert de l'Orme) between 1547-1559, then rebuilt for King Louis XIII by Jean Androuet du Cerceau in about 1632-1634.
