A Brazilian transvestite performs during the Carnival parade in the favela of Rocinha, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 20 February 2012. Rocinha, the largest shanty town in Brazil and one of the most developed in Latin America, has its own samba school called GRES Academicos da Rocinha. The Rocinha samba school is very loyal to its neighborhood. Throughout the year, the entire community actively participate in rehearsals, culture events and parades related to the carnival.
