Dutch Kerkhoff Poucut Cemetery, the Dutch military cemetery located near the centre of Banda Aceh next to the Aceh Tsunami Museum.


Numerous Dutch casualties of the Aceh War are buried in the Kerkhof Peucut Cemetery (also called Peutjoet or Peutjut Cemetery), the Dutch military cemetery located near the centre of Banda Aceh next to the Aceh Tsunami Museum. The Kerkhoff Poucut is recorded as the largest Dutch military cemetery outside the Netherlands. There are around 2,200 graves of Dutch soldiers as well as recruits from Ambon, Manado and Java, as well as several Dutch generals. They were fighters who died in the Aceh War, also known as the Dutch War or the Infidel War (1873-1904)
