James Wilson (1835-1920), Secretary of Agriculture from 1897 to 1913, seated in a horse-drawn carriage with an unidentified African American driver. Wilson served as Secretary during three presidencies and holds the record as the longest-serving United States Cabinet member. Before his tenure as Secretary, he was a professor of agriculture at Iowa State Agricultural College (now Iowa State University), where he advised George Washington Carver. (USA)
