River Fechlin flowing from Loch Killin near Fort Augustus, Highland, Scotland, UK


In the Monadhliath Mountains, Gaelic for grey hills, close to southern end of Loch Ness. Consist mainly of granite and quartzite. Walking, hiking, mountaineering, fishing, deerstalking area. This part of river Fechlin is upstream of the Garrogie Hydro Scheme which is now operational and will generate enough electricity for an average of 2000 households.
