SASEBO, Japan (Feb. 22, 2017) Lt. Katherine Shepherd, from Osprey, Fla., conducts training with executive and safety departments in the conference room of amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). The training focused on the six sound shipboard operating principles and positive command climate factors. Bonhomme Richard, forward-deployed to Sasebo, Japan, is serving forward to provide a rapid-response capability in the event of a regional contingency or natural disaster.
