The tube was surrounded by a quantity of fluidand clotted blood, measuring thirty fluid ounces, and forming an intra-peritouealhsematocele. A firm coat of adherent blood-clot had been deposited on the entiresurface of the tube. A portion of this has been removed to show the smoothperitoneal surface beneath.
