Arctic fox (Alopex lagopus) with its winter coat. The Arctic fox lives on the ice and tundra around the North Pole. It usually feeds on small animals such as rodents and birds, but when food is scarce its diet can include carrion, reindeer dung and plants. In winter, its coat turns from brown to white. Photographed in the spring in Norway's Svalbard archipelago in the Arctic.
