The fishermen on the "North Norfolk" coast between Weybourne and Cromer who go out daily to collect the famous "Cromer Crabs" UK

On the North Norfolk coast in the UK there is a small stretch of coast that runs between Cromer in the east through to Weybourne in the west. There are a selected few fishing boats that have crab pots out at sea that are baited and check every day for the prized "Cromer Crabs" luckily there is control to prevent over fishing and boats are normally passed on between family members. There is absolutely no other crab that tastes quite like the ones harvested from this short stretch of coastline which runs for maybe 2-3 miles. People come to North Norfolk for holidays purely to enjoy the pleasure of these famous crabs. I live around 8 miles from Cromer so am never short of a crab meal as and when the feeling takes me. They never seem to be very large probably because they are harvested on a regular basis but to try one that has been properly dressed by a local restaurant is to never forget that special taste.
