Last week the local wholesale mar- kets were in excellent condition, as there was plenty of first-class stock to be had at reasonable prices. As Lent has stopped all large social functions, the west end florists have little to do in this line. There were large shipments of south- ern daffodils coming in all the week, and they sold as low as $2 and $3 per thousand, greatly hurting the sale of the locally grown greenhouse stock. The attraction was the carnation and novelty exhibition held in conjunction with the meeting. As President Bour- det was unable to attend. Vice-pre
