Storage Stocks of Provisions Cost of Living Department Issues Statement of Stocks of Provisions in Storage,Showing Material Increase in Holdings in Some Lines THE cost of Living Department inits report of stocks in storageshows a satisfactory state of af-fairs. The market is not oversupplied witheggs and the butter situation is alsosatisfactory, beef and lamb quantitiesare decreasing .and cheese stocks havediminished to less than one-half of lastyears stock, but pork quantities areincreasing and are over 38 per cent,greater than last year, according tostatements in the report of the Cost ofLiving Commissioner to the Departmentuf Labor on the cold storage situationfor February. Beef stocks, though declining, arestill 44 per cent, greater than a yearago, and mutton and lamb have de-creased by about 10 per cent, from lastmonth, but are still 105 per cent, abovelast year.
