CAT ALP A. Trompetenbatjm, Ger. Catalpa, Fr. The Catalpas flower in July, when few trees are in bloom. Their blossoms are large, very showy, and quite fragrant. Leaves large, heart-shaped, and yellowish green. They are all effective, tropical-looking lawn trees. D. A species from China, of dwarf habit, growing only from three to five feet high.
