Wat Sisaket, Vientiane, Laos. The oldest wat in Vientiane dating from 1818, being the only one not burnt by the Siamese in 1828. It was here that the Siamese made to Lao nobility swear loyalty, and later in 1893, the ceremony was repeated to the French.
