The Sugar Loaf folly a 35ft cone-shaped structure built by Mad Jack Fuller near Brightling believed to date from the 1820s
Bulit overnight maybe to win a wager for Mad Jack Fuller it sits alone at the edge of a field near the Heathfield to Battle road. It resembles a nearby church tower. The name sugar loaf comes from the shape of the way sugar was bought in cones.
