Sugar mill machinery on display, historical artwork. This is the International Exhibition of 1862, held from May to October of that year, in London, UK. It was also called the Great London Exposition. This sugar mill was provided by Mirrlees and Tait of Glasgow, Scotland. A flywheel is at right, driving a set of cogs and gears, which in turn operate the grinding part of the mill (centre left). On the upper tier are large boilers. This exhibition had 28,000 exhibitors from 36 countries, representing industry, technology, and the arts. There were some million visitors.
