He now belongs to the Utah County Bar Association and his ability has placedhim in the front rank of the representatives of the legal profession in Utah. Beforeentering upon the practice of law, however, he taught school for six years in the highschool of Park City and for one year was a teacher of history in the University atUtah and for four years was connected with the branch Normal at Cedar City, his admission to the bar, however, he has concentrated his efforts and attention. Fully under-standing the necessity for the thorough preparation of his cases, no one gives to casesmore painstalcing thought and care and in presenting his cause he marshals his evidencewith the precision of a military commander, losing sight of no vital point, presentingeach element of his case in its due relative proportion and yet never losing sight of theimportant point of the case upon which the decision always finally turns. While hispractice is extensive and of a most important character, he is also keenly interested inorcharding and is the owner of a sixty-acre fruit farm. He does much experimentalwork upon his place and he cares for his orchards in the most progressive and scientificmanner, doing expert work in this connection.
