PEARL HARBOR (Feb. 22, 2017) Guest speaker Alphonso Braggs, President of National Associations for the Advancement of Colored People Oahu chapter, delivers opening remarks at an African American History Month observation presented by Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam’s Joint Forces Multicultural Committee at Hickam Theater. The theme of this year’s event was “Success Always Leaves a Footprint” and the observation focused on key figures in African American history who made lasting contributions towards equal opportunities for African Americans.
