A double-barrelled hammer rifle, Thomas Turner in Birmingham, end of the 19th century. Reblued barrels with clean rifled bores in 11 mm calibre. The midrib has dovetailed sights. Inscribed "Thomas Turner Patent Rifling" and "Fisher Street Birmingham" on the breech. Receiver and back action lock plates have finely worked vine engravings. The lock plates are inscribed "Thomas Turner". The sliding cock safeties were removed and the openings filled with brass. Half stock of beautifully figured walnut. Blank silver escutcheon.
